The Moment That Sticks With You
It usually sounds something like this:
“We pulled the footage… but it wasn’t usable.”
Not because the system was down.
Not because the camera was offline.
Not because anything obvious was broken.
Everything looked fine. Until it mattered.
That’s the moment that sticks. And once you hear it enough times, you start to realize something uncomfortable: The industry got really good at telling you when things stop working. It never got very good at telling you when things stop working well.
